What does Journal My Health do with user data?

Journal My Health will anonymize your data to help provide insights for people with similar conditions. Your data will not be linked to your identity or sold for advertising. View our Privacy Policy.

Why would I allow access to wearable health or weather location data?

Allowing access to wearable health and weather location data helps give you a more complete picture of your health by providing more data points to find trends and correlations. It also supplies better anonymized data to help provide insights for people with similar conditions.

How do I allow access to wearable health or weather location data?

For iOS users, Apple Health and weather location data can be enabled by granting access to the JMH app in the phone’s permission settings. Journal My Health only accepts Apple Health data if the user’s account is linked to an Apple Watch.

How do I delete my account?

Under AccountUser Data there is the option to delete all data. After deleting all data, you can start tracking a new record in the app.

How do I track a new symptom?

Add new symptoms to your tracked symptoms from the AccountSymptoms screen or by tapping the plus icon (+) next to Symptoms in a Journal Entry. To add a new symptom, on the Symptoms screen, start typing in the input to search the pre populated symptoms or add a new custom symptom.

What if I don’t want to track a symptom anymore?

Remove symptoms from your tracked symptoms on the AccountSymptoms screen or by tapping the plus icon (+) next to Symptoms in a Journal Entry. To remove a symptom, on the Symptoms screen, tap on the minus icon (-) to the left of the symptom name and then confirm removing it by tapping Delete

Your records will keep any data associated with that symptom, but you will not record new symptom data moving forward.

What if I don’t want to track a treatment anymore?

Remove treatments from your tracked treatments from the AccountTreatments screen or by tapping the plus icon (+) next to Treatments in a Journal Entry. To remove a treatment, on the Treatments screen, tap on the minus icon (-) to the left of the treatment name and then confirm removing it by tapping Delete

Your records will keep any data associated with that treatment, but you will not record new treatment data moving forward.

How do I find trends in my data?

On the Stats screen, look at the bar charts summaries of your data and use the graph at the top of the screen to compare two variables.

Also, you can analyze a PDF report of your data on another device or a printed copy by tapping the export icon in the top right corner of the Stats screen.

How do I share my health data with my healthcare team?

Share your monthly PDF reports by tapping the export icon in the top right corner of the Stats screen and then select how and with whom you want to share. 

Can I update a journal entry?

Yes, you can update any journal entry.

Can I create a journal entry for a previous day?

Yes, you can create new entries for past days, but try to journal daily because your entries will be more accurate.
